Chief Accountant

About the role

Çalık Enerji is seeking a Chief Accountant for its Turkmenistan Head Office to lead financial consolidation, reporting and compliance across the group.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed consolidation schedules and financial reports for all group companies, ensuring alignment with management reporting and audit requirements.
• Review and verify data for IFRS reporting and submissions to third parties.
• Organise work allocation, backup arrangements and coordinate job rotation within the finance department.
• Facilitate communication between Finance and other departments or subsidiaries, proactively addressing issues.
• Monitor compliance of financial documents with legislation and company procedures.
• Record project‑related invoices and expense forms, and support Project Managers with financial and regulatory matters.
• Prepare for internal and external audits and coordinate audit‑related activities.
• Perform trial balance reviews, reconciliations and support subsidiaries in resolving accounting issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent license.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in uniform chart of accounts, trial balance, general accounting and financial reporting.
• Fluent in English and Russian.

• Proficiency in SAP.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong time‑management, reporting and organisational abilities.
