Intern, Programme implementation / Operations support

About the role
The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Ashgabat is seeking a part‑time intern to support programme implementation and operations for a six‑month unpaid placement starting July 2026.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in organising meetings, events, conferences and side events with UN system partners.
- Support the drafting, processing and finalising of training materials.
- Contribute to social‑media campaigns and develop communication materials showcasing best practices and impact.
- Collect and enter data on science, technology, innovation and sustainable development into databases.
- Conduct web research and provide analysis on relevant topics.
- Provide operational support in finance, procurement, human resources and general administration.
- Help with archiving procurement documents and maintaining the archive register.
Required profile
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a graduate programme in law, international relations, management, business administration, finance, social sciences or a related field.
