Factory Manager – LDPE / HDPE / PP Film & Packaging

About the role

The Factory Manager will lead the day‑to‑day operations of a polymer film and packaging plant, overseeing the transformation of raw resin into finished LDPE, HDPE and PP film products. The role ensures safety, quality, efficiency and rapid ramp‑up of new package types while managing a 30‑person team.

Key responsibilities

• Select resin grades and additives, monitor specifications and quarantine non‑conforming lots.
• Start, stop and optimise blown‑film and cast‑film lines, coordinate downstream cutting, sealing and printing.
• Plan lab and pilot trials, update formulations and maintain accurate weighing records.
• Identify bottlenecks, conduct root‑cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions (CAPA).
• Audit incoming resin (MFI, moisture, certificates) and manage FIFO in ERP.
• Maintain ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 documentation, SOPs and control plans.
• Plan shifts, develop skill matrices, conduct training and enforce safety culture.
• Report daily/weekly tonnage, OEE, scrap, downtime and monthly cost metrics.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Polymer, Chemical, Mechanical or related field.
• 5–7 years of leadership experience on LDPE/HDPE/PP film and bag lines.
• Strong knowledge of extrusion and converting processes, recipe and masterbatch handling.
• Proven experience in ISO 9001 environments and ERP production data management.
