National Consultant – Crafts Fair & Coordination Meeting

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) seeks a national consultant to lead the organization and logistical coordination of a crafts fair and a stakeholder coordination meeting in Turkmenistan. The event will showcase products created by Afghan and local women who have completed vocational sewing courses, and will bring together beneficiaries, local authorities, business representatives, and other key partners.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize and execute the crafts fair and coordination meeting, ensuring all logistical elements (venue, equipment, transport, catering) are in place.
• Coordinate with vocational schools, local authorities, NGOs, and private sector partners to secure participation and support.
• Develop and manage a detailed work plan, budget, and timeline, monitoring progress and adjusting as needed.
• Facilitate communication among beneficiaries, stakeholders, and IOM project staff to ensure smooth event flow.
• Prepare event materials, promotional content, and post‑event reports documenting outcomes and lessons learned.

Required profile

• Turkmen national with proven experience in organizing community‑based events or fairs.
• Familiarity with the local context, especially women’s economic empowerment initiatives.
• Strong ability to liaise with government agencies, NGOs, and private sector partners.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
